Everyday Things Matter.
Every Voice Heard.
Deanna Taylor for Ward 3
Everyday issues deserve attention every day.
Rooted in the belief that true leadership comes from listening to the collective voice of the community and turning those shared hopes into actionable results that benefit every resident.
My motivation is clear: to help our city focus on what matters most. Taking care of the basics and supporting the people who call Manchester home. Together, we can strengthen our community by prioritizing connection among neighbors, ensuring our streets and neighborhoods are safe and walkable, and fostering a city government that listens and responds. Through strong resident representation, open communication, and transparent leadership, we can build a Manchester that works for everyone.
About Deanna
When you meet her, you’ll quickly see that family and community are at the center of her life. She is a proud mother of two sons, ages 16 and 13, who attend Parkway South High School and Parkway Southwest Middle School. Originally from Cocoa, Florida, she moved to St. Louis in 2004 and has proudly called Manchester home since 2014. She earned both her Bachelor’s degree in Business Management and her MBA in Finance from Florida A&M University.
You’ll also find her deeply involved in local schools and community organizations. She serves as Treasurer of the Parkway South High School Football Booster Club and Volunteer Coordinator for the Parkway Southwest Middle School PTO, and regularly volunteers across the Parkway School District. Her community involvement also includes serving as Nominating Chair for the St. Louis Psychoanalytic Institute Board, the City of Manchester Parks Homecoming Committee, the St. Louis Food Bank, and the St. Louis Urban League. She is also a proud member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated.
If you talk with her neighbors or fellow volunteers, they’ll tell you the same thing: she believes strong communities are built through service, connection, and people stepping up to make a difference.
Top Priorities
-

Community Connection
Strengthening community connections is essential to building a vibrant Manchester. I believe in creating opportunities that bring neighbors together and celebrate the full beauty and diversity of our community. By supporting events, shared spaces, and inclusive engagement, we can showcase what makes Manchester special; not only for residents, but for neighboring communities and beyond.
-

Safe Streets & Neighborhoods
Everyone deserves to feel safe and connected in their neighborhood. I support practical approaches that improve everyday quality of life by making our streets and public spaces safer and more responsive to residents’ needs. This includes visible safety efforts, walkable neighborhoods, and community-based solutions that help residents feel heard, supported, and secure.
-

Responsive Government
Strong communities depend on strong communication between residents and city leadership. I am committed to bringing a responsive, transparent approach to city government, while also aligning tax impact. When leadership shows up, listens, and follows through, we can address concerns more effectively and create practical solutions that benefit families, seniors, businesses, and neighborhoods across Manchester.
Our Goal
Manchester is full of residents who care deeply about their neighborhoods and deserve a city government that reflects that same commitment. I am guided by the everyday basics that matter most to families and residents: strong communication, safe neighborhoods, and a connected community. I’m ready to work to ensure Manchester is better aligned with the full beauty and diversity of the people who make this city such a special place to call home. I will be a voice that stays focused on the practical issues that strengthen our community and support the residents who make Manchester great.
